If you love watching Nigerian movies, you can now watch them on Netflix. Since 2014, the streaming service has licensed several Nollywood films for streaming on its website.

The Millions: A supernatural thriller directed by Oluyemi Asurf, this film stars Toyin Abraham, Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Ayo Makun. It is a sequel to the 1992 Nollywood hit Living in Bondage.

It earned seven AMVCA 2020 awards. The Netflix premiered on May 17, 2017. This movie is not suitable for children.
3. The Set-Up (2019)
The Set-Up: A story of two sisters who become drug dealers after rescuing a friend from sex slavery. This movie is a comedy and stars Toyin Abraham, Chioma Chukwuka, and Desmond Elliot.
It will be available on Netflix on September 8, 2020. It was also featured on BBC.com earlier this year. It will be available on Netflix on September 14, 2020.
4. King of Boys (2018)
King of Boys: A gangster epic, this movie focuses on a power tussle. Sola Sobowale (Nollywood veteran) plays Alhaja Eniola Salami.
This movie won two Oscars, the Best Actress in Africa and Best Supporting Role. Adesua Etomi-Wellington won the Best Actress in Supporting Role.
5. October 1 (2014)
October 1: This movie features a group of Abuja rich men who seduce the rich and corrupt and give the poor their dues. It also highlights the history of Nigeria by including commentary on current issues.
The popular Lionheart is another top movie on Netflix. It was produced by Toyin Abraham and stars RMD. It is an excellent movie to watch if you want to get a glimpse of a new African country.

October 1: This movie, directed by Omoni Oboli, tells the story of a married couple in Nigeria. The husband is a politician who tries to convince Mrs.
Phillips is not a good candidate but her husband is, and the two begin a frank and loving relationship. It is a great way to watch and learn about Nigerian politics. There are also several other nigerian movies on Netflix that you can watch.
October 1: This movie is one of the best films on Netflix. It is a great way to learn about Nigerian history. It has a cast of actors that include Nkem Owoh and Toyin Abraham.
During its release in March, this movie became the highest grossing film in Nigeria. It is expected to be released on June 24. However, it is still a bit difficult to access the movie on Netflix.
6. Lara and the Beat (2018)

7. Isoken (2017)
Isoken is a romantic comedy from 2021. It explores cultural expectations and the unique bond between a father and a son. It is a great movie for couples and teaches the importance of respect in relationships.

It’s also a good movie for families. It has a female-centric plot and is an interesting movie to watch. If you’re looking for something a little more mainstream, try Lionheart.
8. Elevator Baby (2019)
Elevator Baby is a 2019 Nollywood drama film directed by Akay Mason and produced by Niyi Akinmolayan of Anthill Studios, starring Timini Egbuson, Toyin Abraham, Shaffy Bello, Yemi Solade, Emem Ufot, and Broda Shaggi. Dare (Timini Egbuson) is an affluent and spoilt young man who finds himself inextricably linked to a less fortunate pregnant lady who subsequently suffers.
The film premiered in Nigerian theaters on Friday, October 11, 2019, and has subsequently garnered two awards at the Magic Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2020. On June 19, 2020, it debuted on Netflix.
9. Living in Bondage: Breaking Free (2019)
Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, commonly known as Living in Bondage 2, is a Nigerian supernatural film directed by Ramsey Nouah and is a sequel to the Nollywood classic Living in Bondage, which was released in 1992. Kanayo O. Kanayo, Enyinna Nwigwe, Kenneth Okonkwo, Muna Abii, and Swanky JKA feature in the film.
The film was nominated for eleven AMVCA 2020 awards and won seven of them, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best West African Film, and others. It first shown on Netflix in May 2020, after premiering in theaters on November 8, 2019.
10. Kasanova (2019)
Kasanova’s film was directed by Oluseyi Asurf, produced by Eddy Young, and Faith Ojo stars as executive producer. It stars Wale Ojo, Ireta Doyle, Abayomi Alvin, and Ruby Akubueze.

The film depicts the love story of a young man and a young lady, as well as their parents, as the young man’s single father falls in love with the mother of the young woman. On September 13, 2019, the film was released in theaters, and on June 26, 2020, it was published on Netflix.
11. Black Rose (2018)

Hotel Royal Hibiscus is a romantic comedy film directed by Ishaya Bako and produced by Ebonylife. It was released in Nigeria in 2017. On September 8, 2017, the film premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and on February 10, 2018, it was released in Nigerian theaters.
A disgruntled London chef returns to Nigeria to confront his matchmaking mother and rehabilitate his family’s crumbling hotel. Her heart, however, aches when she learns that the guy she loves has purchased her.
Zainab Balogun, Kenneth Okolie, Jide Kosoko, Rachel Oniga, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Toni Tones, Ina Dima Okojie, Joke Silva, and numerous more key actors feature in the 90-minute Nollywood film. The film, however, will premiere on Netflix on June 22, 2020.
13. Sugar Rush (2019)
If you discovered $800 million, what would you do first? That’s what the movie Sugar Rush is about: three sisters who discovered $800 million and couldn’t decide whether or not to seek funds. Sugar Rush is a 2019 film directed by Kayode Kasum and written by Jadesola Osiberu and Bunmi Ajakaiye. Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bisola Aiyeola, Bimbo Ademoye, Toke Makinwa, Banky W, Omoni Oboli, William Uchemba, Tobi Bakre, Jide Kosoko, and Mawuli Gavor are among the musicians included on the album.
The film was released over the Christmas season of 2019 and is Nigeria’s fourth highest-grossing film of all time. On July 3, 2020, it was released on Netflix.
14. Hire a Woman (2019)

Omoni Oboli’s second film following Moms of War (2018) is the outcome of a cooperation between Dioni Visions and Inkblot Productions. The film tells the tale of a couple who are running for governor. On September 27, 2019, the film premiered in Nigerian theaters, however on April 29, 2020, it was released movies on netflix.
